Reason for Selection:
SORA Technology’s project in Africa, which combines drones and artificial intelligence (AI) to combat malaria, was recognized and appreciated. The system detects stagnant water bodies with a high risk of mosquito larvae (breeding grounds for malaria vectors) using drones and AI. It selectively applies insecticides to high-risk water bodies, resulting in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective approach compared to traditional methods for mosquito control.
