“SORA Malaria Control” was introduced by Mr. Naito, President of Eisai Inc. at the official side event of TICAD8.
On September 20, 2022, SORA Malaria Control(*) was introduced by Mr. Naito, President of Eisai, at the official side event of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), “Seeking a healthier and better life through drug discovery and the use of African traditional medicines”.
Eisai’s President and CEO, Mr. Naito, pointed out that Africa still lacks medical infrastructure, and that “Africa needs not only existing ‘Real Medicine’ but also additional ‘Digital Medicine’ and ‘Remote Medicine'”.
In response to SORA Malaria Control, SORA Technology’s malaria elimination solution, he said, “Using the new Japanese technology of drones and AI, we can identify and control the source of the mosquito larvae from aerial photos. This is a new Japanese technology that uses drones and AI to identify and manage the source of the outbreak from aerial photos,” said Mr. Kato, “In this way, true telemedicine (Remote Medicine) becomes possible”.
