Strengthening Global Expansion with New Head of Global Management

SORA Technology Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Head of Global Management, effective June 10, 2025.
With diverse experience both in Japan and abroad and a strong commitment to protecting lives, the new leader will play a key role in accelerating our international expansion.

During her university years, Marina studied Development Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Upon graduation, she was dispatched by a UK-based volunteer organization to Eswatini, where she worked as an English teacher at a local primary school. There, she interacted daily with children living with HIV and faced the stark reality that many lives were being lost due to preventable circumstances. This experience shaped her life mission—to create systems that safeguard lives and implement them within society.

Following her time in Eswatini, Marina worked on sustainability-focused projects at international NGOs and private companies. She has a proven track record in managing cross-border, multi-stakeholder projects and has demonstrated adaptable leadership in multicultural and multi-site environments. Her professional background strongly reflects SORA Technology’s core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

Marina’s education at SOAS provided more than just academic knowledge—it gave her a deep, structural understanding of global challenges. SOAS’s practical, community-focused approach, especially in the Global South, laid the foundation for her ability to develop effective, real-world solutions. With both a global perspective and local field experience, she is uniquely positioned to connect strategy with on-the-ground impact.

At SORA Technology, Marina will oversee international project management, including our malaria prevention and agricultural digital transformation initiatives. She will also strengthen collaboration with governments, universities, and international organizations across Africa.

Message from Marina Ishikawa
