SORA Technology Featured on CNBC Africa : CEO Yosuke Kaneko Discusses the Economic Burden of Malaria and Tech Innovation

Yosuke Kaneko, Founder and CEO of SORA Technology, was featured on CNBC Africa, one of the continent’s most influential economic news networks.

In the interview, Kaneko highlighted how malaria is not only a health crisis but also a significant economic barrier, causing an estimated $16 billion in annual GDP losses across Africa (Source: World Economic Forum).
SORA Technology addresses this issue using drones, satellite imagery, and AI to detect and target high-risk mosquito breeding sites. This enables up to 40% cost reduction compared to conventional methods and minimizes environmental impact while maximizing prevention efficiency.
With a recent $4.8 million funding round, SORA is expanding its operations in high-risk regions such as Sierra Leone, reinforcing its analytics and autonomous drone systems.
We are honored to share our approach on such a prominent international platform and remain committed to transforming global health challenges into opportunities for sustainable development.
