About SORA Technology
SORA Technology leverages AI-powered drones for larval source management (LSM) to identify and control mosquito breeding sites—the root cause of malaria, dengue fever and NTDs transmission. This innovative solution enables targeted interventions in hard-to-reach areas, helping protect vulnerable communities in Asia and Africa from vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue.
CEO’s Statement
Yosuke Kaneko, CEO of SORA Technology, commented:
“Our mission is to transform people’s lives from SORA, meaning ‘sky’ in Japanese. With AVPN’s support, we will launch our first operations in Asia, starting in the Philippines, using AI- and drone-powered larval source management to address mosquito-borne diseases. This initiative will not only reduce transmission and costs but also empower local teams with advanced tools and skills, and create scalable, sustainable health impact.”
Future Outlook
- ・Expansion of malaria, dengue and NTDs control efforts in Asia
- ・Strengthened collaboration with governments, international organizations, and local communities
- ・Further development of AI- and drone-based health and climate solutions
