◾️Internship and then the first African employee
Before coming to Japan, Mary worked at the Noguchi Memorial Institute in Ghana, where she used the Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) to study at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health Management. She then began an internship with Sora Technology.
Mary’s desire to solve Africa’s public health challenges matched with Sora Technology’s business of using drones to address global health challenges, as Mary states in the article, “It opened my eyes to using drones for applications other than delivery. After completing her internship, she was hired as an employee of SORA Technology.
