Inspiring Children’s Dreams and Hope Through the Power of Technology

SORA Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Japan; Founder & CEO: Yosuke Kaneko; hereafter “SORA Technology”), which provides advanced drone and AI solutions across public health, agriculture, and climate resilience, announced to sponsor the Kibera A-GOAL League, a youth football league in Nairobi, Kenya.

A-GOAL has been organizing the Kibera A-GOAL League since October 2022 for approximately 1,600 children in Kibera, one of the largest informal settlements in Africa, located in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

Through the Kibera A-GOAL League, A-GOAL addresses challenges such as high crime rates, poor sanitation conditions, and malnutrition in Kibera by creating an environment where children can engage wholeheartedly in football. By providing a safe space through sport, the initiative helps prevent children from becoming involved in crime. In addition, meals are provided to participating players during league matches, contributing to improved nutrition and the healthy development of children. Furthermore, A-GOAL offers additional support for female players, including the provision of menstrual hygiene products and access to counseling services.

Guided by our mission, “Transforming Lives from the Sky (SORA),” SORA Technology provides a wide range of services leveraging drone and AI technologies across Global South countries, with a particular focus on Africa. These services include infectious disease control, agricultural productivity enhancement, and support for climate change adaptation, contributing to sustainable development and improved quality of life in the regions we serve.

In recognition of the mission and objectives of the league, we have decided to support the further development of the Kibera A-GOAL League. Through football, we hope to inspire children not only to learn but also to broaden their aspirations—enabling them to envision futures in which they pursue careers such as drone pilots or entrepreneurs and work toward realizing their dreams.
